For this event, please make 6-1/2” squares ahead of time to contribute and/or create fidget quilts.  If possible, please bring a sewing machine and extension cord.

The fidget quilts created at this event will be donated to various local nursing homes and/or the Alzheimer's Foundation.

For more information, please call the Janet Wyckoff at 609-466-2516.

What is a Fidget Quilt?

Sometimes people who have Alzheimer’s Disease or other cognitive issues may have restless hands.  Fidget Quilts are made to address this problem. Small square quilts, about 24” x 24”, are made of 6” squares that incorporate fabrics with texture, fabrics with a large motif, squares embellished with ribbons, lace, tucks, etc., and squares with something to manipulate (zippers, pockets, buttons).
