
The Prydonians of Princeton, a local science fiction social group, will be hosting a showing of the fantasy film “Five Million Years to Earth” also known as “Quatermass and the Pit.” A mysterious artifact is unearthed in London, and famous scientist Bernard Quatermass is called in to divine its origins and explain its strange effects on people. You are cordially invited to join the Friends of the Lawrence Library for their Spring Open House. We will begin with an interpretive storytelling program by Stacy Roth called “Over Here, Molly Pitcher,” in which “Molly” recounts how she became the heroine of the 1778 Battle of Monmoth Courthouse. Refreshments will follow. Registration is suggested.

Dance/movement therapy is the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual, for the purpose of improving health and well-being. Join Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, Eri Millrod, as she introduces this newer therapy and discusses how it can benefit those with depression and/or anxiety. Registration is suggested.

May is the National Stroke Awareness Month. In regard to it, members of the Capital Health medical staff will conduct free blood pressure screening and staff a stroke information table. No registration is required.

Before the Greeks and Romans, central and northern Europe were home to pre-literate peoples who developed remarkable societies that left no written records. Join Peter Bogucki, an associate dean for undergraduate affairs of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Princeton University, for this lecture that will be illustrated with images of important sites and finds, along with maps and timelines, to tell the story of ancient Europe known from archaeology. Peter Bogucki is also an archaeologist who received his Ph.D. from Harvard University. His most recent book “The Barbarians” received the 2018 Book Award from the Society for American Archaeology in the Popular category. Registration is suggested.




Joshua Stone, owner of Digital Doc Princeton, will be giving this informative course on Internet Security. He will educate participants on taking correct precautions to stay malware and virus free and how to protect their important information from phishing. Registration suggested.
