Adult Program

Elliot Rosenzweig, a respected civic leader and wealthy philanthropist, is attending a fundraiser when he is suddenly accosted and accused of being a former Nazi SS officer named Otto Piatek, “the butcher of Zamosc.” Although the charges are denounced as preposterous, his accuser, Ben Solomon, is convinced he is right. Solomon persuades attorney Catherine Lockhart to take his case, revealing that the true Piatek, who was abandoned as a child and raised by Solomon’s family, betrayed the family during the Nazi occupation. But has Solomon accused the right man?

NOVA’s Decoding the Weather
2:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Adult Program

Disastrous hurricanes. Widespread droughts and wildfires. Withering heat. Extreme rainfall. It is hard not to conclude that something’s up with the weather, and many scientists agree. It’s the result of the weather machine itself—our climate—changing, becoming hotter and more erratic.

In this 2-hour documentary, NOVA will cut through the confusion around climate change. The screening will be following by an interactive discussion; audience participation is encouraged. Bring along ideas for earth-friendly strategies.
