Use the library’s Legos, Tinker Toys, K’Nex, blocks, or household supplies to have some building fun!   Let your child’s imagination and engineering talents take over to construct towers, letters, animals, and more!  Each week will feature different prompt cards to get started, but it’s up to you to engineer a final product.

Read to Sarah the Therapy Dog (grades K-5)

Sarah is a local therapy dog who loves listening to stories.  Sarah will visit the library with her owner Barbara. Children who would like to practice reading aloud may sign-up for one 15 minute session with Sarah and Barbara.  Please bring a book to read.  

For grades K - 5.  To register:  visit the Children's desk in the library, or  call 609-799-0461 and ask for the children's department.

Space is limited.   Please bring a book to read to Sarah.

K-5th Grade Drop-in Activity Table through 4:00pm

Our Saturday activity station will have a table out in the open with games, educational toys, workbooks or other self-directed activities. At times there may be a craft!  Suitable for children ages 5-10 years, with adult supervision.

Registration is not required, drop in at your convenience.  Cleanup will finish by about 4:00pm.

Edible Christmas Trees, for ages 3+

For ages 3 and up, with a caregiver!

Join us for a fun, edible program that will be sure to put you in a festive mood!  We will decorate Christmas tree ice cream cones with icing and candy.  Use your imagination, then you can eat your creation!  Dress for a mess!

Registration is required starting at 7am on the day of the program.

Junior Globetrotters (Ages 5-9)

Explore the world through fun stories and crafts in this exciting program led by a local Girl Scout.

Children ages 5-9 will learn about different countries through folktales and traditional stories, craft projects, music, and fun activities.

3D Printing classes for ages 7 & up

The West Windsor Branch will offer 6 classes in 3D printing. 

Space is very limited and we are allowing each child to sign up for only one class.  This will allow the most children to benefit from the class

The classes wil be held on the following dates:  10/6, 10/20. 11/3, 11/17, 12/1, and 12/15.  Please sign up for only one class.  We appreciate your cooperation.

Registration for each class will begin one week before the class starts, at 9:30 am.

Intro to Programming Using Python (Grades 4-8)

Kids in elementary and middle school will develop a foundation for programming as they get hands on with Raspberry Pi's to learn the basics of Scratch and Python programming, while also beginning to understand how computers work.

Use the weekly writing prompt to write a postcard for a librarian.  Add some color with markers, rubber stamps, and stickers, then put a stamp on it and place it in our “mailbox.” “Mail” will be collected at 5pm and displayed in the Children’s Department.

Use the weekly writing prompt to write a postcard for a librarian.  Add some color with markers, rubber stamps, and stickers, then put a stamp on it and place it in our “mailbox.” “Mail” will be collected at 5pm and displayed in the Children’s Department.
