You may repeat books as often as you like.  You can reach 365 books in a year if you read every night; 730 books in two years; and 1,095 books in three years. It is for caregivers and children ages 1-5.

Use the weekly writing prompt to write a postcard for a librarian.  Add some color with markers, rubber stamps, and stickers, then put a stamp on it and place it in our “mailbox.” “Mail” will be collected at 5pm and displayed in the Children’s Department.

Funeral Planning

Kevin Latham, a licensed funeral director in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, will cover pre-planning, pre-funding funeral or cremation services and veteran services. Latham and a local attorney will touch on basic legal issues of cremation and wide varying services concerning cremation.

Latham is a member of the Pennington Business and Professionals Association (PBPA), Hopewell Business Association (HBA), Mercer County Funeral Directors Association (current President), New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, Funeral Ethics Organization and American Society of Embalmers. Kevin received his mortuary education with Mercer County Community College. He has a wide varying experience in the funeral business, working in both family owned and corporate settings. Kevin is a former investigator with the Mercer County Medical Examiner's Office (until its closing March 2017).

Early Modern Era & its Impact on Western Society

Chess Club (Ages 7-14)

This chess club is a session of informative learning about several aspects of chess. This club will be an opportunity for student learners to gain a tactical advantage over their opponents by applying logical strategies. The strategies can be applied in the opening, middle, and end phases of the game. They will also be introduces to traditional weaknesses in pawn positions. After in-depth knowledge of the strategies provided, students would be ready to play in local tournaments.
