Private Computer Help Sessions

Can’t figure out how to fix your Word document? Having trouble uploading photos from your phone to your computer? Are you locked out of your email? Our library computer instructors are offering virtual private sessions to help you with questions like these or any other computer- or tech-related matters. After reviewing your tech issues or computer project goals, the instructors will provide you with a 20-minute private session via GoToMeeting.

Click on the link below to select your 20-minute appointment in Picktime, an online scheduling platform. Select "Computer Classes" from the list of locations. You will receive an email confirmation once your request is submitted.

Fall Family Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

Stop by the Hightstown Branch for a Fall Family Scavenger Hunt in the park in front of the library. Search for clues and solve riddles to find the hidden treasure! Once you solve the tenth riddle, you will receive a prize bag! One prize bag per child.

Suggested for ages 5-10, but open to all. Parents/guardians are encouraged to play along too!

We will be providing a safe environment by strictly adhering to social distancing guidelines. Please note the following: 

  • Adults and children over age 2 must wear masks during the program.
  • Please maintain social distancing of 6 feet from other patrons/family units during the program.
  • Restrooms inside the library will be available as the building's capacity limit allows. If the building's capacity is reached, patrons will need to wait to enter the building & use the restroom.

Miss Andrea (Hickory Corner Branch) is back for her 5th dance party so grab something to shake and join in the fun with music from The Wiggles! The songs from this video are off an album called Hot Potatoes! The Best of the Wiggles. Cardboard Pumpkin Face Craft

Children, ages 2 to 6 with an adult caregiver, are invited to register to do a Halloween craft at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch*. Use provided materials to paint a pumpkin face on a cardboard rectangle, to take home with you.  Use our ideas for inspiration, or create one of your own. The craft will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Registration required. 

Once you are registered, come to the Lawrence Headquarters Branch anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to create your craft.

No drop-in particpants permitted as space is limited.

See breathtaking pictures of the Earth from this orbiting laboratory. Presented by Paul Cirillo, a volunteer outreach “Ambassador” for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, as well as a member of the New Jersey Astronomical Association, which operates the largest public observatory in New Jersey.

Walk-Up Outdoor Costume Selfie Station

Patrons are invited to stop by the Lawrence Headquarters Branch in their costumes to take selfies in front of our seasonal backdrop, weather permitting. We will be decorating beneath our front right overhang for the day.* Our friendly painted cardboard decorations are aimed at children ages 8 and under but can be enjoyed by all! Drive-up viewing is also encouraged. Pictures in street clothings are fine, too!  This is a drop-in event; no registration required.

Come to the Ewing Branch anytime between 3 and 4:30pm for a safe way to trick or treat in your car! Decorate your car, your family in costume, and drive through our parking lot for a safe way to receive trick and treat goodies!
