Pop up Art School Online: Day of the Dead Altar

Celebrated primarily in Mexico, the Day of the Dead is a public holiday when families come together to honor and celebrate the lives of their deceased loved ones. The Pop up Art School will bring everything you'll need to create an altar like those made for Día de los Muertos. You'll also learn some of the history and traditions behind the Day of the Dead.

Materials Needed for Live Virtual Class
Please gather all the supplies before the class begins. Your librarian will be distributing kits with most of the materials you'll need--once you have registered, call the library to schedule an appointment to pick the kits up through Curbside Delivery. In addition, you also need:
• Paper towels
• Container with water to rinse brush
• Scissors
• Something to protect your table
• A smock or old T-shirt. Acrylic paint does not wash out of clothing.
Optional:
• Hot glue gun

Register to receive link to class!
