    Researching Your African American Ancestors Using Vital Records
    10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

    In partnership with the newly, established African American Genealogical & Historical Society of Mobile, the Mobile Public Library will host a free genealogy workshop in Bernheim Hall at the Ben May Main Library.

    Professional genealogist, Mary Jones-Fitts will present two sessions. Morning session includes information on accessing Birth Records, Delayed Registrations of Birth Information, Marriage and Death Certificates, and Divorce Records. Afternoon session addresses the topic, “Finding Vital Records in Genealogy Databases.”
