Sea Turtle Egg Hunt at Ben May Main Library

Children get rewarded for reading and helping sea turtles!

Sea Turtles have mistakenly laid eggs in some of our children's books at Ben May Main Library, and we need our young patrons to help save the eggs! When children find hidden eggs in the books they are checking out this summer, they will receive a special treat for helping the eggs get to a safe nest.

After checking out their book, children should follow the instructions on the egg to exchange it for a treat at either the circulation desk or the children's desk. Our library staff will make sure to get the egg to a nest where it can hatch safely and give the little sea turtles the best chance at survival! For more information, please email Main Youth Services at mainyou@mplonline.org or call 251-340-1496.
