Ask the Professional: Certified Financial Planner & Estate Planning Attorney
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Join Certified Financial Planner, John Heise, and Estate Planning Attorney, Julie Ladimer, as they pair up to discuss estate planning in practical terms.  Smart Phones and Devices are welcome as attendees are encouraged to submit their questions in real time and anonymously.  Submit questions ahead of time by going to: bit.ly/ATP419.  Event is free and no registration is required.

John Heise had begun his career with New York Life in 1997 before creating his own firm Atlas Financial Group, LLC in 2000 and aligning with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc, an Independent Broker Dealer and Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisor, in 2015. Mr. Heise represents many organizations, small and large, with regards to their employer sponsored retirement plans, including the Town of Natick 457b Deferred Compensation Plan. As a member of Retirement Plan Advisory Group (RPAG), Mr. Heise is part of an elite group of fiduciary minded advisors. RPAG members represent over 25,000 retirement plans encompassing over $350 billion in collective investment assets.

In addition to employer sponsored retirement plans, a major focus of Mr. Heise’s practice is in the concentration of Comprehensive Financial Planning which encompasses Wealth Management, Tax Strategies, Risk Management, Estate Planning, Education Planning, Business & Executive Planning, and Retirement Planning to name a few.  Educational resources available at https://adobe.ly/2FXqm0G.

Julie McQuade Ladimer is not your average estate planning attorney.  Even though her clients hire her to discuss difficult topics such as their immortality and disability, she brings vibrance and wit to the table.  Her approach to bringing fun and playfulness to consultations helps her clients to relax.  Her clients then leave her office feeling empowered, and relieved.  Her biggest compliment is when a client completes their estate plan and leaves saying “I’m shocked how easy that was, I wish I had done this sooner!”

Julie opened Ladimer Law in 2014.  Prior to realizing she wanted to create a firm with an atmosphere outside of the legal box, Julie worked as a law clerk for an estate planning and elder law firm in Boston and in Raynham.  She decided to attend law school in 2006 while working in Congressman Barney Frank’s office in Washington DC.  She received her Juris Doctor from New England School of Law in 2009.  She graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania with a dual Bachelor of Arts in international relations and French in 2002.  She grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts and is a 1998 graduate of Framingham High School.

Since law school, Julie was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2009.  She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Alzheimer’s Association.  She is very active in the Society of Financial Service Professional, by serving on the national board of directors, as well as serving on her local chapter’s board of directors.  She is a member of Business Networking International (BNI) and Provisors.

Due to her outstanding service to her clients, Julie has received the Five Star Professional Award for her contribution to the financial industry.  She has also received a Rising Star Award.  Both awards have been published in Boston Magazine.

Julie now lives in Medfield with her husband and two children.  She enjoys traveling, Crossfit, running, golf, tennis, and anything else that is outside.

Profiles in Courage by John F. Kennedy

The Pulitzer Prize winning classic by President John F. Kennedy written in 1955 by the then junior senator from the state of Massachusetts, John F. Kennedy's Profiles in Courage serves as a clarion call to every American. In this book Kennedy chose eight of his historical colleagues to profile for their acts of astounding integrity in the face of overwhelming opposition. Now, a half-century later, the book remains a moving, powerful, and relevant testament to the indomitable national spirit and an unparalleled celebration of that most noble of human virtues. It resounds with timeless lessons on the most cherished of virtues and is a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit.

The Morning book discussion meets monthly September through June on the third Wednesday of the month at 11 AM.
Selections for this year will be historical fiction and nonfiction presidential themed books.

The group is drop in and books are available one month in advanced at the circulation desk on the first floor of the library.

Light refreshments and tea served.
