Genealogy: Going Online with Census and Vital Record
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

When you begin researching your family history online, the first documents you’ll usually encounter include U.S. census records (generated by the federal government) and birth, marriage and death records (generated locally).  Not all records are created equal. Some are more reliable than others. Census records are often only signposts that point towards more reliable information. Vital records are usually more reliable. Why?  Resident genealogist, Ginny Audet, will discuss these two heavily used record types and give tips relating to online genealogical research in general.

Carte Blanche: The Beatles' White Album
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

The Beatles' only double-album, The Beatles (a.k.a. The White Album) is the band's most individualized and stylistically diverse work. Many people argue that The White Album should have been released as a single-album, but no two people seem to agree on which half should be kept and which half should be discarded. In this 2-hour program, three Beatles experts (Candy Leonard, Aaron Krerowicz and Daniel D'Addio) will make the case for why all 30 tracks should be kept, then the audience will be invited to discuss and debate the merits of each song in order to distill the double-album down to a single disc.
