Please proceed to the third floor area where you will be asked to register on arrival and will be assisted on a first come-first served basis.

Please bring a copy of your 2016 federal and state tax returns plus all relevant 2017 tax documents you have received such as your W-2 wage statement, 1099 interest statement, health insurance coverage etc. Volunteers will prepare tax returns for people with moderate or low income (less than $40,000 if single and less than $60,000 if filing a joint return.) General assistance with personal (non-business) questions will be provided to anyone regardless of income level.

This month we will screen Wasted! The Story of Food Waste, a documentary film that explores the reasons why 1.3 billion tons of food is thrown away annually and ways to fix the problem. The Mindfulness Meditation Group will meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month. Breathing and meditation practice helps cleanse the body mind complex enhancing the feeling of well-being, bringing clarity and calmness within. The Rise of Modern Jewish Literature out of the Yiddish Tradition

Sharon Hart Green will speak about the rise of modern Jewish literature out of the Yiddish tradition. She received her PhD in Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and has taught Hebrew and Yiddish literature at the University of Toronto. World Music - India, the Works of Rabindranath Tagore

Nobel prize winning poet, writer, painter, thinker, maverick educational reformer and perhaps the greatest songwriter of all times - Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) - remains a revered figure in both Bangladesh and India. His songs depict a sublime oneness with nature, the universal and bridge differences in race, religion and color. For this performance Ms. Chakraborty will present Tagore's compositions accompanied by live music and a power-point presentation with translations of his lyrics (originally written in Bengali) in English.
