Six Great 20th Century Speeches is a free conversation class for adult intermediate to advanced English Language Learners.  We will listen to great speeches and read them together outloud.  The speeches were delivered by Winston Churchill, Nehru, Eleanor Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, Shirley Chisholm and Nelson Mandela and address topics such as war and peace, injustice and justice, equal rights, etc.  We will ask ourselves what makes these speeches great and discuss similarities/differences in ideas, language and style.
