On December 17: Origami Gift Box

Make a small origami box out of craft paper.

Zumba

Zumba is a strong cardio and muscular workout, incorporating dances such as merengue, salsa, hip hop, and belly dancing. Classes will be held on Mondays, November 5-December 17. A fee of $35 is charged for the series if paid in advance prior to the first class, or you can pay as you go at $7 per class. The fee must be paid at the time of registration.

Hoarders

Based on the hit show Hoarders on A&E, this presentation takes a deeper look into hoarding. Any person who is unwilling to discard items - even trash - might be a hoarder. When the basic functions of a home like the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms can no longer be used for their intended purpose, help might be needed.

Join Steri-Clean for a discussion of the psychology behind hoarding, and learn how individuals can reclaim a normal, clutter-free life. The presentation will also discuss biohazards, and their safe removal. There is no charge for this program, but registration is required.

Baby Playtime
10:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Come and enjoy a half hour of fun with your baby! We'll share songs, finger plays, stories, and rhymes. Meet other parents and their babies, and enjoy some special time together. This program is intended for babies ages 0-18 months old (siblings welcome!) and will be held on Tuesdays, January 8-February 12. Registration is required.

Toddler and Preschool Fitness
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Is your kid wearing you out? Burn off some of that energy, and help keep yourself in shape at the same time! Try some yoga, obstacles jumping and light jogging. A series of six classes will be held on Tuesdays, January 8-February 12. Registration is required.

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

"Amphibians"

Not content with a watery living room, these creatures swapped their gills for lungs and a life in a New World of air. Come and learn about how they did it, and where they live today with Tony Palermo. This program is for children of all ages. Registration is required.

Tuesday, April 16: Springtime Celebration

  • Asparagus, Scallion, and Chevre Tart
  • Roasted Roma Tomato Tart
  • Black Olive Garlic Bread
  • Springtime Very-Berry Salad
  • Rhubarb Upside-Down Cake

Chef Carol Nardello has worked in restaurants, owned a catering business, collaborated on three cookbooks, and taught at three cooking schools. Most recently, while living in Hawaii, she worked as a Chef Instructor at the Culinary Institute of the Pacific. She and her husband now live in Wexford.

Classes are $40 each, but if you register and pay for all three classes before Friday, February 1, the cost for the series is only $100. There will be a limit of 20 attendees, so advance registration and payment is required. No refunds can be issued for this program if a patron does not attend after submitting payment.

A storytime for our graduating toddlers. Longer stories, exciting new ryhmes and songs, but still all the fun! A series of six classes will be held on Wednesdays, January 9-February 13. For families with preschoolers ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old. Registration is required.

Improv for Kids!
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Theater games are for anyone looking to improve confidence, gain focus, and add positivity to their daily life. While having fun and making new friends, children will improve their listening skills, collaborate with peers, and spark their imaginations. Sheri Ward leads this one-hour workshop helping children learn to unlock their inner creativity in a fun and supportive place.

Kids ages 6-12 years are invited to this free workshop. No experience is needed, but registration is required.

Join us for the 46th Annual Library Chess Tournament. Competition will be held on two levels: the Junior Division for grades K-4, and the Senior Division for grades 5-8. The winners in each division will represent the library in the
