Every Monday this summer, families will be able to enjoy special guests from several organizations in our community. Along with these visits, we will offer programs that introduce STEM activities and informal learning around science, art, and exploration. All family members are welcome. Registration is required.

Week 7: North Park Rangers - Eagles

The North Park Rangers will visit the library to share a selection of instructional items related to soaring eagles!

The Makerspace is back at Northern Tier! This crafting, making, learning, and playing area is meant to bring families together to explore their creativity while learning new skills. A new activity will be showcased each week, but visitors can enjoy everything the Makerspace has to offer on a weekly, walk-in basis.

Week 7: Cardboard Building

The entire community will collaborate in this week-long project to build a cardboard spaceship and decorate it.

This program is intended for babies ages 0-18 months old (siblings welcome!) and will be held on Tuesdays, June 11-July 30. Registration is required.

Nearing the end of her life, Vida chooses Margaret Lea to be her biographer.  As Vida slowly reveals the truth about her past, Margaret is consumed by the tale of ghosts and lies - which causes her to examine the secrets in her own past.  Join us as we examine this fascinating and eerie story.

The History of Pennsylvania as Told Through PA Books

Brian Lockman, President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Cable Network, has hosted more than 800 episodes of PCN's popular television show, PA Books.

Over more than 20 years, authors have appeared on the program to discuss their books covering the state's history, people, and culture. Starting with the first humans who lived here 16,000 years ago, to the New Sweden colony, through the American Revolution, to Gettysburg, to the Industrial Revolution and up to the present, Pennsylvania's rich story has been told by some of today's most prominent historians.

Brian will share some of his favorite books and stories from 20 years of talking with authors and will tell of some lesser-known scenes from Pennsylvania's history.
