Book Talk and Signing with Peter Leibert

Peter Leibert is the author of the children’s book Jerome, a fictional tale of two corgis based on the factual story of a mysterious legless man found on the beach in Sandy Cove, Nova Scotia in 1863.  He will also discuss A Bag of Tricks, a collection of short stories and poems about the traditional character in folklore of The Fool, who is imbued with a certain sense of power, magic and wisdom.  Copies of these books will be available for sale and signing following the reading. 

Peter Leibert is a Professor Emeritus of Art at Connecticut College, where he taught studio art (ceramics) for 37 years and chaired the Department of Art for 16 years. He plays concertina and button accordion semiprofessionally.  He is the founder of the Westerly Morris Men.

Otis Library, in partnership with the Connecticut Bar Association, is now working with local attorneys to offer the program "Lawyers in Libraries."  If you have questions or a case that involves immigration law, family law, consumer rights, personal injury, or a landlord/tenant conflict, you can sign up to meet with an attorney for free for 20 minutes regarding your case.  Attorneys will be on-site at the Library on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 4-6pm.  To book an in-person appointment for the December 15session, please register by December 8;  call Otis Library at 860-889-2365, ext. 116.  Please bring any case-related materials you have to the meeting so that the attorney can provide their best assistance.
