Healthy fruits, herbs, and vegetables begin with the right soil! Come learn about the soil pH, what does lime do, type of fertilizer, conventional and organic. Learn, from agricultural extension agent George McCleary, how to perform a soil test and the benefits of earthworms, bacteria, and fungi in soil.

Craft kits are in the pick up cabinet next to the front door of the library and all of your supplies are in a bag with your name on it.

We put the bags out first thing Monday mornings and leave them in the cabinet until Saturday afternoon.

The cabinet is open 24/7 so you can pick it up whenever is convenient :)

Any kits not picked up by Saturday afternoon will be given to friends on the waitlist.

LEGO Challenge for Adults!

Thursday 5/30 at 5pm

Unleash your inner builder and tap into your creativity at our Adult LEGO Challenge Night! This unique event offers a fun and engaging opportunity for adults to rediscover the joy of LEGO building in a relaxed and social atmosphere.

Participants will have 40 minutes to build anything food  related out of Legos. At the end of the program, everyone will receive a photo of their LEGO Build to take home!

Thursday 6/20 at 5pm

Lace up your sneakers, grab your headphones, and join us for a walk on the literary side! Use your smartphone to check out an audiobook on the Hoopla app, meet at the library where we will have water and healthy snacks, then go for a walk along Great Oak Road while you listen to your audiobook. When the hour is up, feel free to come back into the library to cool down & chat with fellow walkers about the books you listened to.

 Craft kits are in the pick up cabinet next to the front door of the library and all of your supplies are in a bag with your name on it. The cabinet is open 24/7 so you can pick it up whenever is convenient from Monday to Saturday :)

Learn how gentle the honey be really is. Learn where honey comes from and just how much honey a honey bee produces in it's life time.  Learn how honey bees communicate and work as a team.

You will be introduced to the cast of the colony and what each member of the colony does. Talk to a real Beekeeper. touch and feel real bees wax and try on a Beekeepers uniform.
