Incoming 1st-4th Graders (and any children readers!) - Check out a book or bring one to read to the therapy dogs from WCOTC (Westmoreland County Obedience Training Club). Reading in a comfortable environment has been shown to be critical to building confidence and increasing fluency.
The dogs arrive at 10AM, and will be stationed around the library. We will have art activities & games out for kids to work on while they wait their turn to read to their new furry friend!

Just in time for Halloween, join Erik Selinger as he presents, "Monsters in Music". They haunt our dreams, they are the foundations of our nightmares. They are present across all ages, all cutures.
They're always there, just at the edges of our vision. They are the things that go bump in the night. And we can't seem to get enough of them. Monsters in folklore, literature, movies and
in song. We'll play some heavy metal, of course, with a few surprises thrown in. Join us, "if you dare!"
