Looking for an excuse to get outside in nature together? Families and groups of all ages, including all tweens & teens! Meet an Allegheny County Park Ranger, and be led in a morning of stewardship at nearby Boyce Park. We will meet at Hillcourt Shelter at Boyce Park from 9am-Noon: DIRECTIONS 

This is an excellent opportunity to learn first-hand from an expert Ranger and give back to our community! Group activities depend on the day, but may include: mulching newly planted trees and plants, litter pick-up, and invasive plant removal. All ages and abilities can be accommodated. Please bring water and wear closed toe shoes. Long pants, sun protection, and hats are also suggested. The Park Rangers will supply gloves, safety equipment, and all necessary tools. 

Registration appreciated, but not required.

Ranger-led Park Stewardship Day

Looking for an excuse to get outside in nature together? Families and groups of all ages, including all tweens & teens! Meet an Allegheny County Park Ranger, and be led in a morning of stewardship at nearby Boyce Park. We will meet from 9am-Noon at Boyce Park (location to be announced). 

This is an excellent opportunity to learn first-hand from an expert Ranger and give back to our community! Group activities depend on the day, but may include: mulching newly planted trees and plants, litter pick-up, and invasive plant removal. All ages and abilities can be accommodated. Please bring water and wear closed toe shoes. Long pants, sun protection, and hats are also suggested. The Park Rangers will supply gloves, safety equipment, and all necessary tools. 

Registration appreciated, but not required.

Valhalla I Am Coming: Fantasy Elements of Led Zeppelin

Calling all fans of Led Zeppelin, pop culture, mythology, history, and fantasy!  Examine references to Norse & Greek mythology as well as the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien 

in Zeppelin classics like "Immigrant Song,"  "Ramble On," and many others.  We will explore why Led Zeppelin is the originator of Viking rock and discuss all things Tolkien.  

Join presenter, Erik Selinger as he orchestrates an epic voyage from "Achilles' Last Stand" to "The Battle of Evermore."  

Teens and  adults.  Must register.

The chronic stress from the pandemic has put many people in a state of constant fight-or-flight mode which can affect women wanting to conceive or are already pregnant. Excessive stress hormones have been shown to affect the baby's health. Reducing stress hormones has been shown have more positive outcomes for both mom and the baby.

Join Renee Fera, RN CEHP, for a program that seeks to ease the process of pregnancy at all stages – before, during, and postpartum. Learn what you can do to reduce worry, stress less, and find strategies for relaxation to enjoy the journey and create better outcomes.
