Dual Book Discussion with Fran: Caste and The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson

Join facilitator Fran Cohen in a special Book Talk and Discussion of two landmark pieces of non-fiction: THE WARMTH OF OTHER SUNS: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration and CASTE: The Origins of Our Discontent both written by the Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Isabel Wilkerson. Both of these extraordinary works offer a transformative framework through which to understand identity and injustice in America. In Caste, Wilkerson puts forth the U.S. social hierarchy as a caste system: a deeply entrenched yet artificial method of categorizing people by birth.

Registration required. An email with the Zoom link will be sent prior to the program.
