Pam Bolarinho (LICSW, VP of Acute Behavioral Care for Child & Family Services) will be speaking to the newly created CBHC (Community Behavioral Health Center) in Plymouth.
Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHCs) are one-stop shops for a wide range of mental health and substance use treatment programs. The Commonwealth's statewide CBHC network includes 29 centers located in communities across Massachusetts.
CBHCs offer immediate care for mental health and substance use needs, both in crisis situations and more routine settings. Crisis services are available around the clock for anyone in Massachusetts experiencing a potential mental health emergency and are entirely insurance-blind, meaning anyone can access services, regardless of insurance coverage. Routine outpatient services are available for all MassHealth members and may also be covered by some commercial insurers.

Rhyme Time is a program intended for infants and toddlers. Each week we will share an interactive story, a Mother Goose rhyme and some fun music and movement. There may be an activity to build some pre-reading skills and it is hoped, but not initially expected, for the children to be engaged the entire circle time. Children are welcome to engage with the program, come and go from the circle as they want while they build their self regulation and attention skills, and when the music starts everyone usually comes rushing back! This is intended to be a comfortable, engaging activity to introduce story time expectations and early literacy skills in a low-key environment, to allow for social opportunities for children and parents and to expose infants and toddlers to an early learning environment.

Enjoy a virtual lunchtime lecture from the John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site, entitled "From Beals Street to the White House." Receive a virtual tour of John F. Kennedy's birthplace home on 83 Beals Street, as well as an exploration of his boyhood neighborhood, including the second home in which the Kennedys lived, their family church, and the school where a young John F. Kennedy received some of his earliest education. Learn how his mother -- Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy -- managed a large family, discover collection items such as John F. Kennedy's favorite childhood books, and explore the influences that shaped him as a child. Led by Lead Park Ranger Gabriella Hornbeck.
NOTE: This program will be recorded. All registrants will receive the recording via email within 24 hours of the program.

Children grieve differently than adults. Come join us as we discuss how children's understanding of grief changes as they transition through the developmental stages of childhood. We will also discuss how to help a grieving child and behaviors that might signal a child needs help.

Peggy O'Neil Files (retired Interfaith Chaplain at South Shore Hospital and resident of Duxbury) will speak on trauma responses when crises occur. After a loss, highly stressful or potentially traumatic event people often experience a wide range of reactions. Our responses may affect one's mind, body and spirit. Most reactions are normal and to be expected. They may change or shift over time. Learn more about where you might fit on the continuum and how to take care of yourself during times of distress. Explore and experience self care and support for others. Identify signs to seek professional Mental Health Care.
