1000 Books Before Kindergarten

  Beginning Wednesday, January 2nd we will be offering this incentive program for children from birth to 5 years of age (NYK). Online registration begins on Monday December 10th at 10:00AM. Pick up your chart beginning January 2nd. Read any book to your child. You can read the same book multiple times. Storytime books count too! Color in one dot per book on your chart. When the chart is filled, you've read 100 books! Turn in your chart to a Children's Room Staff member for a prize and start your next chart. A current email address and phone number are required when registering, otherwise the registration is considered incomplete.

Winter Reading Club

  For ages Birth through 5th grades.  Winter Reading Club begins on Monday, February 4th and ends on Friday, February 22nd. Plainedge Library's Children's Dept. is offering an online reading program during the month of February.  Register your child online beginning January 14th at Wandoo Reader's website link through Plainedge Library's homepage. You and/or your child can log a minimum of 1 book a week online. Older children reading longer chapter books can log in a minimum of 1 chapter a week.  All you need to do is then visit the Children's Librarian Staff once a week so we can check their progress & give them a prize.  Click here to login or here to register

until first responders are able to take over care of an injured person. Due to many situations, there may be a delay
between the time of injury and the time a first responder is on the scene.
Without civilian intervention in these circumstances, preventable deaths will occur.
Join us to get bleed control training from Marvin Berg, RN - Nassau University Medical Center.
