2019 NASSAU LIBRARY TOUR

For all families in Nassau County How many public libraries can you visit during July and August? Find out by joining the Nassau Library Tour! Visit the libraries, then explore the attractions, restaurants, and parks nearby. Take this self-guided tour as a family, a team of friends, or go solo. In each library there’s a unique feature to hunt for, and you’ll earn prizes as you go along. Open to all ages, this self-paced journey takes place from July 1 through August 31. Prizes are earned for visiting 5, 15, 30, or 45 of the participating public libraries in Nassau County. Anyone who visits 45 or more will also be entered to win one of our fabulous grand prizes.

Start your journey by picking up a Nassau Library Tour map at any participating public library in Nassau County. At each participating library, you will be challenged to find their designated scavenger hunt item! Take a photo with it and post it to social media with the hashtag #nassaulibrarytour. Explore that library and all it has to offer, check out the books, technology, and events, and even spy librarians in their natural habitat. Don’t forget to bring your map and have it updated with a sticker to indicate you visited that library! Then, plan your visit to the next library by visiting the tour website - tour.nassaulibrary.org - where you can also find nearby places to visit or have a bite to eat.
