Handmade for the Holidays- Adult Craft Workshop

Need some holiday gift ideas? We've got you covered. Join the library for a Holiday workshop craft series making handmade holiday gifts for a friend, family member, neighbor, co-worker, or anyone you want! Prior to the week of Christmas, each Wednesday we will have a craft class with a new handmade gift. You can sign up for one or all of the classes. Each class is $5 and includes all the supplies needed for your handmade holiday gift, and a free Pleasant Hills Library ornament! 

To observe social distancing guidelines, this program is limited to 15 people per class. Mask are required. Registration is Required. 

Week 1- Wednesday, December 1st- Paper bag Scrapbook

Create a unique one of a kind scrapbook album from paper bags. Give as is for someone else to fill, or fill it up at home with pictures and memories for an extra special keepsake. 

Week 2-  Wednesday, December 8th- Bath Bombs in a Mason Jar

Create your own handmade bath bombs in a decorative holiday mason jar. Please note that bath bombs will not be able to go home with you the day of the event. They will be made at the library and need to sit and dry for a day or two before getting picked up. 

Week 3-- Wednesday, December 15th-  DIY Hand Stamped Gifts

Melanie Coverston, owner of Stamp With Melanie will give instructions on how to create a unique hand stamped gift card holder, and a hand stamped calendar. Check out the samples below. Please note- there will be a choice of colors for the calendars and a choice of patterns for the gift card holder.  

When its made with two hands and the love of one's heart, handmade is extraordinary and a work of art!

Virtual Bingo Party-Holiday

Join us from home for a fun game of Virtual Holiday Bingo! In this spin on bingo, you will be looking for words related to the holidays. 

This event will be hosted through Zoom, a virtual meeting service. Please contact the library if you need help or instructions for using Zoom. 

Registration is required, in order to get the Zoom meeting information and your Bingo Card(s). Participants can either schedule to pick up their printed Bingo Card(s) at the library or get a link to their Bingo Card(s) emailed to them. Emailed Bingo Cards can either be printed out at home, or can be virtually marked on your devices screen.  During registration you can choose which option you prefer. Please also include how many players are participating with you so you recieve the appropriate number of Bingo Cards.

Join us from home for a fun game of Virtual Holiday Bingo! In this spin on bingo, you will be looking for words related to the holidays. 

This event will be hosted through Zoom, a virtual meeting service. Please contact the library if you need help or instructions for using Zoom. 

Registration is required, in order to get the Zoom meeting information and your Bingo Card(s). Participants can either schedule to pick up their printed Bingo Card(s) at the library or get a link to their Bingo Card(s) emailed to them. Emailed Bingo Cards can either be printed out at home, or can be virtually marked on your devices screen.  During registration you can choose which option you prefer. Please also include how many players are participating with you so you recieve the appropriate number of Bingo Cards.  

Tech requirement:
Computer or smart device with Webcam/Microphone and a Zoom account.  The Adult Program Coordinator will be in the room early to help with any technical issues.

Handmade for the Holidays- Adult Craft Workshop

Need some holiday gift ideas? We've got you covered. Join the library for a Holiday workshop craft series making handmade holiday gifts for a friend, family member, neighbor, co-worker, or anyone you want! Prior to the week of Christmas, each Wednesday we will have a craft class with a new handmade gift. You can sign up for one or all of the classes. Each class is $5 and includes all the supplies needed for your handmade holiday gift, and a free Pleasant Hills Library ornament! 

To observe social distancing guidelines, this program is limited to 15 people per class. Mask are required. Registration is required.

Week 3-- Wednesday, December 15th-  DIY Hand Stamped Gifts

Melanie Coverston, owner of Stamp With Melanie will give instructions on how to create a unique hand stamped gift card holder, and a hand stamped calendar. Check out the samples below. Please note- there will be a choice of colors for the calendars and a choice of patterns for the gift card holder.  

When its made with two hands and the love of one's heart, handmade is extraordinary and a work of art!

Monthly craft kits for adults, available for curb side pick up with registration.  Each kit will contain all the supplies and printed directions to complete the craft.
