Big Read: Community Introduction Series

In anticipation of this year’s Big Read, Pretty Monsters by Kelly Link, we’re taking a “deep dive” into the world of short stories. Using samples from Pretty Monsters, we’ll discuss reading strategies for short stories, the serendipity of discovering new voices in magazines and online, and the joys of finding what you love (and ditching what you don’t). Looking for suggestions? We’ll guide you to stories you’ll adore based on your favorite books, movies, and more.

The 2022 Big Read will run from October 21 - November 12. For more information about the Big Read, visit poklib.org/events/2022-big-read.
