Please call 2-1-1 for an appointment and you be will asked for a valid e-mail address. You will get a letter explaining the process and what you need to bring to your scheduled appointment. You must print out the required forms and complete them with all your tax information from last year. You will be dropping off all documents and it will be inventoried after a tax preparer full conducts a intake interview. You will be given an appointment the following week to review your return, sign it, and retrieve all materials.  At that point, the return will be e-filed to the IRS.

Please call 2-1-1 for an appointment and you will be asked for a valid e-mail address. You will get a letter explaining the process and what you need to bring to your scheduled appointment. You must print out the required forms and complete them with all your tax information from last year. You will be dropping off all documents and it will be inventoried after a tax preparer full conducts a intake interview. You will be given an appointment the following week to review your return, sign it, and retrieve all materials.  At that point, the return will be e-filed to the IRS.

This workshop provides information, resources, and support for immigrant families to help ensure their family member receives medical care that is aligned with their values. The workshop will focus on supporting older adults and their families, but all are welcome. Time for Q and A included. Guest presenters are Tida Beattie and Roshni Kavate, consultants for End of Life Choices New York. Tida Beattie is Thai-American and is training to be an eldercare consultant and end of life doula. Roshni Kavate is Indian-American and is a palliative care nurse. Together, they work to create space to share and honor immigrant experiences within the US healthcare system at the end of life.

Book: Redbone: The True Story of a Native American Rock Band by Christian Staebler

Brothers Pat and Lolly Vegas were talented Native American rock musicians that took the 1960s Sunset Strip by storm. They influenced The Doors and jammed with Jimmy Hendrix before he was "Jimi," and the idea of a band made up of all Native Americans soon followed. Determined to control their creative vision and maintain their cultural identity, they eventually signed a deal with Epic Records in 1969.

Take & Make - Mini Mason Jar Terrarium

Celebrate Earth Day and watch your terrarium grow. We’ll supply the jar, soil, sand, rocks and a plant cutting; you supply the water and sunlit window.

Crafting kits are available for teens and tweens, ages 10-18. Limit two per family, registration required.  Pick up materials at Adriance Memorial Library in theTeen Office from April 21- 28. He won the Edgar Alan Poe Award for Best Novel in 2009 with Blue Heaven. Box is a Wyoming native and avid outdoorsman who has worked as a ranch hand, surveyor, fishing guide, a small town newspaper reporter and editor. He also owned an international tourism marketing firm with his wife Laurie. He served on the Board of Directors for the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo and currently serves on the Wyoming Office of Tourism Board. He and his wife Laurie live on their small ranch in Wyoming.

Rover the Roving Library will be parked at Pavilion 5 in Bowdoin Park, Wappingers Falls.  Stop by to pick up free seed packets while supplies last and enjoy the fresh air and library programs happening at the park!  The Friends of PPLD will also be at Pavilion 5 doing a book giveaway while supplies last!

Microsoft Excel 101 (blended class)

In this blended learning class, you will be required to complete several short online lessons before attending the in-person class at the library. A current valid email address is required for us to send you the lessons. An instructor will be in touch via email up to 1 week before class with the lessons and for confirmation. You must reply to retain your seat and receive a handout in the class.

Set up and manipulate a basic spreadsheet.
