Join us for a specail presentation by Cookbook author and Food Historian and writer Sandra Oliver. Ms. Oliver will book talk her newest title: "Marjorie, Brownie and Me: Readers, Columnists and Their Books." Whether you're writing memoir or poetry, formulating your material into prosaic form is an art. Learn from Judith Campbell, author of the Olympia Brown mystery series, how to craft your work. Prose Poetry is one of those wonderful categories of poetic writing which has almost no rules and almost anyone can do it. We might call it poetry for the fainthearted and poetically challenged. Others would say it is a new creative avenue for poetic expression. Basically, it’s a letter or an essay or even a newspaper article with all of the extra words removed and the good ones re-arranged so that what remains is clear and to the point without being forced to conform to rhyme or meter. Group sharing is always optional....come and write or come and listen, you are welcome to do either or a little of both....just come. Please bring writing materials and a highlighter with you.

The Chiltern Mountain Club, New England’s largest LGBT+ recreation and outdoors group marks forty years of creating community. Author and group historian, Steve Pinkham, will offer reflections on the groups’ many hikes and adventures. Also on hand will be Lauren Kras, the Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary director, who will share what's new at this recently opened former working cranberry farm site, now a 450+ acre wildlife sanctuary. Rick Moranis plays nerdy Seymour Krelborn in this lavish 1986 musical based on the Broadway Play. Seymour works in a rundown flower shop on Skid Row. While his boss (Vincent Gardenia) bemoans the lack of business, Seymour seeks a way of bringing the shop -- and himself -- fame and fortune. He purchases a strange plant from an even stranger oriental street vendor (Vincent Wong), naming the plant after his girlfriend Audrey (Ellen Greene). Gradually, Seymour learns to his horror that "Audrey II" (given the voice of R&B performer Levi Stubbs) craves blood and flesh. With each of Audrey II's "FEEED MEEE"s, Seymour must scare up human food to satisfy the plant's appetite.
