Virtual Morning Book Chat

On Monday, June 21st at 10am, Plymouth Public Library staff members Kate and Shane will be facilitating an informal virtual discussion to talk about books! Members of the public are invited to join any of our monthly conversations to talk to fellow readers about books they’re currently reading or looking forward to reading. Come with your morning coffee or tea and a list of your top book titles of the moment. If you have an interest in any of the book titles we discuss during the program, you can send a follow-up email to plref@ocln.org and staff will happily reserve the books for you. 

Please register in advance and a Zoom link will be sent prior to the program.

Virtual Family Challenge Trivia with the Trivia Brothers

Join us for an episode of Family Challenge Trivia! The Trivia Brothers have managed to squeeze the same zany, light-hearted trivia fun into a package small enough to fit on your computer screen! Teams can be comprised of individual or multiple players.  Recommended team size is 3-6 players. Two devices will be needed in order to enjoy the optimal experience ( one to join Zoom meeting and one to play the game) . Zoom link will be sent day of the program. 

For families with children of all ages!  Only one person from team needs to register.

Fortnite Tournament with One Up Games

Join us with One Up Games for a Fortnite tournament right from the comfort of your own home! Participants must have their own gaming platform, online connection, and a copy of the game to participate.  For teens ages 12-18.  Registration is required.  The entire event will consist of FIVE games with short breaks in between each game. The winner of each game with recieve $10 digital currency to the console of their choice.

Animal Adventures

Join us on the Library Lawn for an hour of animal education!

Animal Adventures is an exotic animal rescue, founded by Ed and Brenda Laquidara in 1997, but they began this journey long before that. Ed, has been working with exotics since his youth and over the years and experience, gained his PhD in Zoology and is one of the world's most sought after herpetologists. Brenda owned a pet store in Medford, MA for many years with her sister Robin. Together, Ed and Brenda formed Animal Adventures. The mission is to give a home to unwanted and unable to be cared for animals while educating the public about these animals.

Positive Techniques = Happy Dogs & Happy People.

Learn the behavioral science behind why dogs do what they do and how to modify their behavior using pet friendly techniques. There will also be a demostration with a dog!

New England Birds of Prey

Join us on the front lawn for a special presentation of live birds by Wingmasters. These birds are nonreleasable rescue birds from species that are native to New England.  For families with children of all ages.  No registration required

This event has been developed with a donation from the Jen Kane Scholarship and Charitable Trust which provides scholarships, endowments and donations to charitable foundations in memory of Jen Kane, a Plymouth native who lost her life in the World Trade Center on September 11th. Children who attend will recieve a free book related to American history or culture.
