We'll use the large plasma TV and Nintendo Wii in the Teen Reading Room to stay fit. Join us and learn to play Wii Sports!  Learn to use the Wii-mote, a light-weight, motion-detecting controller that you swing like a golf club, baseball bat, bowling ball or tennis racquet. Bring a friend or two and give it a try! No registration required -- just drop in!

Pysanky Egg Decorating

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. Michael Yanchak is offering a 2-part Pysanky Egg Decorating class to be held on Thursday, Feb. 27 and Thursday, Mar. 5. A follow-up Q&A session will be held for participants on Tuesday, March 10. The cost is $25 plus supplies. Learn the basic techniques needed to make your own traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs. The class is limited to 12 participants.

Hear a thorough review of the hospice Medicare benefit and common misperceptions associated with this specific entitlement. This event is sponsored by a grant from the McElhattan Foundation and is offered in partnership with Family Hospice. As the largest not-for-profit hospice in Pennsylvania, Family Hospice has been providing comfort care to patients with life-limiting illness and their families since 1980. Light snacks will be provided.

She will be discussing using children's literature to support teaching and learning. Her book, "Inside Mouse/Outside Mouse" was chosen as the first selection in Pennsylvania’s ‘One Book Every Young Child’ initiative.

Spanish Conversation Circle

Third Saturday of the Month.
We are not a Spanish class. Our main purpose is to improve our Spanish language skills by meeting local Spanish language and culture lovers for conversation and fun!  Make new amigos as you practice speaking Spanish. All levels are welcome. Led by Spanish speaking PTPL volunteers who facilitate a discussion in Spanish on a variety of subjects. All Conversation Circles are free.  No registration is necessary.

Wii Sports for Adults

Every Wednesday. Do you love to golf, but don't want to deal with the weather? Maybe you were a bowler, but your arthritis keeps you from lifting the ball. We'll use the large plasma TV and Nintendo Wii in the Teen Reading Room to stay fit. Join us and learn to play Wii Sports!  Learn to use the Wii-mote, a light-weight, motion-detecting controller that you swing like a golf club, baseball bat, bowling ball or tennis racquet. Bring a friend or two and give it a try! No registration required -- just drop in!
