Autumn Sunflower Bouquet in watercolor for beginners! Registration required and begins 10/23. Ages 16+
Interested in learning the beautiful art of watercolor but not sure where to begin? Classes designed by Lana Quann, local watercolor artist are created for beginners to learn the fundamentals of watercolor while unleashing a creativity that is fun and playful.
Classes include all artist grade materials (paper, paint, brushes and assorted tools) and basic drawings to guide you on your way with step by step instructions. As you work your piece, you will receive hands on help to show you corrections and give advice. This is not your typical "paint night". We interact with our own work so that everyone creates a piece that is uniquely their own!
BIO:
Lana Quann is a self taught watercolorist from New Bedford. She earned her BA in Art History from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and has studied a variety of mediums. In 2018, after a 30 years hiatus from art she picked up her brushes again, this time teaching herself the complex yet magical art of watercolor. Through persistence and encouragement she created 'The Wandering Brush' where she shares her love for the magic of watercolor art in an everyday, simplified way experimenting with a variety of pigments, papers and brushes. She believes art is for everyone and puts aside the label of "fine art" to bring fun, exploration and playfulness to both her work and classrooms.
