Let's make Mindfulness Breathing Wands! Now more than ever, our children need opportunities to express their feelings in thoughtful and creative ways. Using art directives, Art of the Heart explores themes of mindfulness, emotional language, empathy, and kindness. Mindfulness is the ability to bring our attention to the present moment. It allows us to carefully observe and tune into our thoughts and feelings leading to more self-awareness. Together we will create a breathing wand, which provides a great visual cue for noticing deep breaths and practicing mindfulness.
