BABY LAPSIT

Join us for a 30 minute song and stories time appropriate for children ages birth to 24 months..  Parents/Caregivers will have children sitting on their laps to do movements and listening to books.  If you have older children, they may bring a stuffed animal or doll to sit with us and follow along.

Research shows following a consistent schedule and pattern helps children's brains develop, so we hope you will make this a regular part of your week.  However, we understand that nap times and other things come up, so this is a drop-in program, so come when you can.

TESTING AND THE ART OF THINKING

Parents and students understand the energy and emotions conjured by the SAT, which is not only part of the college admissions process, but also a true rite of passage for teenagers in the United States. Most of us never forget our score, or how we feel about it. This film endeavors to support individuals—especially young people—by examining what the test measures and means, and asking a range of visionaries, admissions professionals, and interested parties to discuss the use and ramifications of the test.

This is a unique book club which includes reading/reviewing a wide range of cookbooks and explores various cooking techniques, specific chefs, and ethnic cooking styles.  Participants are asked to bring a dish to share from the month’s cookbook, and we all sit down for a potluck meal. FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Like to cook new things and talk about the recipe?  This program is for you. This is a unique book club which includes reading/reviewing a wide range of cookbooks and explores various cooking techniques, specific chefs, and ethnic cooking styles.  Participants are asked to bring a dish to share from the month’s cookbook, and we all sit down for a potluck meal. This program is limited to 12 participants.

Registration is required. This group cannot accommodate drop-ins. Please know the recipe you will be preparing when you register.  You may be asked to change your recipe if we need a "balanced" meal, so register early!

Please contact the library to find out what the theme is for the month.
