Join us for some fun in the kitchen. Fall is here which means lots of apples. We will be making apple crisp. .

Join our third Halloween Costume Swap! Until the end of October, for each costume brought to the library, participants will receive a "costume coin" that allows you to return to choose a "new" costume for yourself or your children.

Located in Exeter, NH Czar's Brewery is a small brewery and eatery dedicated to crafting inspired, delicious and discerning ales & lagers from local ingredients. Join us as owner Henry V. gives us a lesson in brewing and explains how he began his adventure. You will be given the opportunity to tour the facility and sample a few of his creations. ALL registrants must be 21 years or older to participate in this event. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, space is limited to 10 people, Sandown residents will be given first priority. 

Funding for this event is provided for by a grant from The New Hampshire Humanities.

Bring your preschooler or kindergartner age child to enjoy stories, songs, puppets and more. Our themed story and craft times are designed to encourage the development of early literacy skills and build friendships with others. Class size is limited to 15 children with their parent/caregivers.   
Registration is required and will close at 9pm the evening prior to the program. This allows us to plan appropriately and have enough materials for your child(ren).

Join us Monday mornings on YouTube for movement, reading, rhymes, and songs.  Mother Goose on the Loose is a brain-based program consisting of thirty minutes of fun, skill-building activities. Some benefits of the programs are the following: aids speech development, improves motor coordination, develops attention span, and encourages a love of books and book illustrations.

We will post the link to the day's YouTube video ten (10) minutes prior to the start time. You can find archived story times from previous programs, too.

SUNDAY SPECIAL PROGRAM: GRANITE STATE RINGERS

Celebrate the holiday season with our special performance with The Granite State Ringers. They are a community handbell choir led by Mary Divers and Joan Fossum and were founded in February of 2007. Their vision was to offer musicians, committed to the art of handbell ringing, a chance to play a variety of challenging music and promote handbell repertoire to audiences all over New Hampshire. The group is made up of ringers from communities throughout New Hampshire including Keene, Rochester, Concord, Meredith and Laconia.

Registration is recommended so we can plan on having enough seats for everyone. 

This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of The Sandown Library.
