STPL needs YOUR help!

STPL needs your HELP!

Your LIBRARY needs active “FRIENDS of the LIBRARY”

The Friends are in need of active support.  The Friends of Scott Township Public Library (FOSTPL) are currently seeking two new board members for Treasurer and Secretary.  This is an excellent way to give back to your community and advocate for your Library.  The FOSTPL Board is in particular need of an individual with finance/accounting experience for the Treasurer position. If interested in either of these positions, please send a letter of interest to Gina Leone, leoneg@einetwork.net.

The FOSTPL need fresh ideas and the manpower.  Currently, the Friends rely heavily on Library Staff, and we should be providing extra support to them.  Right now, there just are not enough active Friends to maintain the basic needs of the organization.

The annual Book Sale is the largest fundraiser for the Friends of the Library.  Without it, the organization will be unable to raise the $8,000 yearly goal to donate to the Library.  We are hopeful that the annual Book Sale will continue in 2019.  With that being said, your Library is in need of a permanent storage space, as well as community members that will actively participate in the Friends of the Library.

Over the past five years, the Friends of the Library and your STPL have relied upon temporary storage donated by SS. Simon & Jude, Guardian Storage, and Red Balloon.  Thank you for your support.

Can you help?  Call the Library at 412.429.5380 or email Gina:  leoneg@einetwork.net

Mod Podge Paper/Book Pages Magazine Holder

NOTE: This is an event for adults and/or teens.

We'll be transforming plain, old, plastic magazine holders into functional works of art! We have some fancy paper and some old book pages, and we'll use Mod Podge to cover the exterior of the magazine holder with whatever words and colors you choose! Then, you'll take it with you, let it dry, and fill it with whatever you'd like.

Registration is required; space (and magazine holders!) are limited.
