Please bring your questions, hints, tips and tricks to share so we can all improve our collective home cook know-how. We will be in the small meeting room so face masks are strongly encouraged. Do you love science, technology, engineering, art and math? Then our Summer STEAM Club is perfect for you! Join us every other Monday afternoon as we complete different STEAM challenges and have fun together. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration is required.

Join UK travel/relocation consultant and former UK resident Claire Evans for a delightful culinary tour of the UK inspired by “The Great British Baking Show” television series, aired on PBS and Netflix. Learn about making a proper cup of tea, regional specialties, their origins, and the particular parts of the UK they hail from. She’ll translate the trickiest parts of British recipes for Americans so you can try them in your own kitchen. Pick up useful travel tips as well, just in case you’d like to create your own tour!
Registration is requested by June 27.

The Scott Township Public Library (STPL) is currently seeking a new board member. This is an excellent way to give back to your community and advocate for the Library. The STPL Board meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30pm. STPL Board members also assist with library fundraising initiatives and events. If interested, please send a letter of interest and current resume to Gina Leone, Director at leoneg@einetwork.net. Interested applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be a current resident of Scott Township (or a member of an adjacent community that does not have a library).

Join us for a tour of the Crafton Community Garden Center! The garden began as an idea by a Crafton resident seven years ago. With the help of a grant from The Allegheny Grows branch of Grow Pittsburgh, as well as the cooperation of Crafton Borough, the idea turned into a reality. We will be given a guided tour of the gardens, including a pollinator garden and a working vegetable garden. The produce grown is regularly donated to the Crafton Ingram Community Food Pantry and others. You will be given the address before the date of the tour. Transportation is not provided so please plan on driving to the garden. See you there!

This program is intended for all ages. One registration per family please, so everyone has a chance to participate. Registration opens on July 1.

At each meeting we will have a demonstration of a basic cooking skill and you will be given a recipe that you can take home that uses that skill. Please bring your questions, hints, tips and tricks to share so we can all improve our collective home cook know-how. Face masks are still required, so no tasting is allowed inside the building. Skill: color mixing. Recipe: Easy Buttercream Frosting. Please register online by July 7, 2022.
