This September, libraries across Allegheny County are inviting residents to participate in a special fundraising collaboration to show support for their local library.  Love Your Library, a county-wide campaign developed by the Allegheny County Library Association and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, encourages residents to show their library love by investing in their libraries.

This unique campaign coincides with the American Library Association’s National Library Card Sign-Up Month, which introduces the community to the wide variety of services local libraries provide – from text to high-tech.

Every third Thursday, adult home cooks are welcome to come to the small meeting room to taste the recipe pf the month and talk about tips, tricks and ways to adapt the recipe to you and your family's needs. Every month we will have a new recipe in the library that anyone can take, try and taste at home. The recipes will be online, near the new nonfiction and near our amazing cookbook collection. Every third Thursday adult home cooks are welcome to come to the small meeting room to taste the monthly recipe and talk about tips, tricks and ways to adapt the recipe to you and your family's needs. No registration is needed to take a recipe, but space is limites so please register online for the tasting by December 7, 2022. December recipe: easy meringue cookies Coming in January: Eggplant dip on pita chips

Calling all girls in 5th through 8th grade!  Are you interested in learning more about technology and coding?  Scott Township Public Library is partnering with TechGirlz, an organization dedicated to decreasing the gender gap in the field of technology, this fall to offer free workshops for girls in our community.  A personal laptop is recommended to participate in these workshops but arrangments to use a laptop from the library can be made if needed.

This program is intended for girls in 5th through 8th grade and will take place in the Small Meeting Room.  Registration is required one week prior to the workshop.
