Give Your Child a Summer That’s Out of This World with the Science of Space! GSK Science in the Summer™, is a fun and 100% free science education program for elementary school students entering second through fifth grades. It’s sponsored by GSK and offered through national science centers, community centers and libraries across the country. This summer of 2018, led by certified teachers, students will experience the Science of Space through fun, hands-on activities that teach them about Earth’s moon, the sun, the stars, space travel and more.

Pre-registration is required and paperwork for this free, grant-funded program will be available starting Saturday July 7th at the main desk inside the library.
Registration paperwork must be filled out and turned into the desk inside the library, before a spot will be guaranteed in this program.
Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 20 students.

Learn How to Cast On - 3rd of 3 classes

Michele Cynarozwic will teach knitting 3 Wednesdays in a row. In this final class you will learn how to begin a project by casting on, and Michele will help with any knitting problems you are encountering.  For class you will need to bring the following items: a skein of multi-colored yarn, a pair of knitting needles with stoppers on the ends (either US 6, US 7 of US 8). 

Cost: $5 for 1 class, $10 for 2 or 3 classes. Payable at the beginning of the first class. Please register for each class you plan to attend.
