Bring your lawn chairs or blanket and join us on Thursday June 17th at 6:30pm for an outdoor concert with Cameron Sutphin!

Cameron Sutphin is an Americana singer/guitar player, in 2017 as a solo act, he released his debut Nashville Recorded C.D. Heartbreak Town. Since its release, the C.D. has been in rotation on the Jukebox at J.R.'s Café in East Windsor Connecticut, as well as several local folk radio stations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. In addition to this, he has appeared on the Blue Plate Special live audience radio program in Knoxville TN, and has had the privilege of performing at The Big E (New England's largest agricultural fair) for the past two years. Cameron has also had the privilege to share the stage with many performing artists including national touring artist Drew Kelly, Mark Mandeville and Raianne Richards, as well as Emily Ann Roberts Season 9 runner-up on The Voice.

Cameron performs original material and classic country and folk cover songs such as, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Neil Young, and many others.

Join Timna and friends in July for an in-person sit and stitch on the grounds of the Gaylord! This gathering will be held outside, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the group will meet virtually.

Registered participants should bring a chair and their portable handwork of choice - quilting, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitch etc. - to enjoy the company of fellow slow stitchers. Please note: the library will not be open during this event and no bathroom is available.

@GAYLORD: PICK UP KIT for Miss Janet's Adopt a Pet Program

This program is open to children ages 3-10.

Sign up to adopt a pet (mystery stuffed animal) with Miss Janet and get ready for an adventure! Each kit will include: stuffed animal, adoption certificate, Picture and Story Journal, and “I read to my pet” reading log.

Miss Janet will post  weekly videos online discussing the various pets. She will include pictures of her pet and the children can share pictures of theirs. There will be weekly challenges to take part in. Z is back again this summer! Come practice your creative writing skills and meet other kids who like to write.

The group is open to kids ages 9-15.  Z will guide students through various writing exercises and prompts. Participants will have time to share their writing with the group. 

This 6-week program starts Thursday, July 1st from 3-4pm and runs through August 5th. Meetings will be held outside at the Gaylord Memorial Library (weather permitting). In the event of inclement weather, the group will meet virtually via Zoom.
