We need some Architects for this fun-filled event for the whole family. Challenge yourself with our 1 million Legos to be a Master Builder. This program will focus on building a birdhouse the garden located outside the Teen Section of the library.  For every creation you show us...you will receive a Lego candy to eat. Don't forget to stick around for a fun game of Lego bingo...1 lucky winner will receive a special Lego prize to take home.

With the grand opening of Jurassic World's new super-secret dinosaur exhibit just days away, only one thing is missing: the dinosaurs! In order to get the job done, Simon Masrani enlists his newly hired assistant, Claire Dearing, to ensure the new attraction opens on time, or else. Unfortunately, Owen Grady, the animal behaviorist Claire hired to deliver the dinosaurs, is late. Owen's mission turns out to be far more difficult than anyone could have imagined.

Meeting at the Oliver Miller Parking  for a super fun activity for the kids!

Approximately 2 miles with moderate elevation changes

Dress for the weather and learn to snowshoe this winter with our Park Rangers! This will be a basic instruction class with a trek through the woods. Program is weather-dependent, if there is no snow, we will lead a guided hike.  Sorry the showshoes are just for kids.  Parents be sure to wear boots.

CELEBRATING CHINESE NEW YEAR WITH THE PITTSBURGH CHINESE ACADEMY

The Pittsburgh Chinese Academy has an activity plan for Chinese New Year that the kids will not want to miss! 

First , let's watch a video and see if you can find the answers.  Then they will be making a Zodiac animal mask and learning the Chinese word for that animal.  Next, they will have the opportunity to taste a Chinese candy or snack.  Who will win the Chinese Chopstick game?  This is a great way for the kids to learn about another culture while having fun!

First , let's watch a video and see if you can find the answers.  Then they will be making a Zodiac animal mask and learning the Chinese word for that animal.  Next, they will have the opportunity to taste a Chinese candy or snack.  Who will win the Chinese Chopstick game?  This is a great way for the kids to learn about another culture while having fun!
