Join Meg as we talk all about books. And movies. And movies made from books.  The FIRST Thursday of the month,  just drop into the Homework Center from 4-5 pm. For ages 12-18. Flying High Doggies
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Join us on the lawn outside of the East Forest Park Branch Library for an amazing show from some of the most athletic Border Collies on the planet. They’ll perform with Mike Piazza, multiple world finalist and world record holder in K-9 Frisbee and the current #1 Professional K-9 frisbee performer in the world! There will be a variety of frisbee stunts and other entertaining tricks during the performance and lots of audience participation.

Fun for humans of all ages! Please bring your own blanket or lawn chairs for this special outdoor event.

Origami with Valley Folds
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Learn the ancient Japanese art of origami with an experienced teacher.  We typically teach beginner through intermediate although all levels of experience are welcome.  Origami paper is provided.   Come fold paper with us!  This workshop is intended for ages 8- adults.  Younger children may participate assisted by a parent.

Origami usually meets the third Saturday of the month from noon to 2 p.m. Occasionally Saturdays may differ, so please call 413-263-6858 to confirm dates.

Low income mothers and their children may qualify for government-sponsored food and nutrition benefits. See how you may qualify and demystify the application process at this staffed information table designed especially for pregnant women, mothers, and their families. A representative from Tapestry Health of Springfield will be available to help guide parents through the application process, and explain how to best use the WIC benefits. Se habla español. Teens and adults.
