Individuals should sign up for a designated time as there are a limited amount of spoons available. Pajama Party with Blades mascot and the First Lady of the Commonwealth, Lauren Baker

Join us in the East Forest Park Branch Library's Children's Room for games, trivia, a story, and fun with First Lady of the Commonwealth, Lauren Baker and Blades, the mascot for the Boston Bruins! Wear your pajamas if you want. Free! All are welcome.

This event kicks off the 13th annual Boston Bruins PJ Drive Every year, Massachusetts libraries team up with the Boston Bruins hockey team and collect pajamas during February and March. The drive benefits the Department of Children and Families Wonderfund and Cradles to Crayons. All pajamas donated to the drive will be given to children and teens living in foster care, and local donations benefit local children.

Photography 101 with Louie Moreno

Experienced in everything related to arts and media production, Louie has written and produced short films, documentaries, T.V. advertisements, and music videos. His involvement in both preproduction and post-production allows for the material to have an underlined feel that transcends from concept to fruition.

Louie has been looking for ways to get involved in his community and he is very excited to begin teaching at the East Forest Park Branch. He hopes to teach classes on photography and video production so individuals can find new ways of expressing themselves. This lesson is a part of the Pinhole Cameras: A 'Do It Yourself’ Experiment Series, but is open to the whole community.

Mission to Mars: Train Like An Astronaut

NASA plans to have humans on Mars by 2040. That's only 20 years from now and it's never too early (or late) to train to be one of the astronauts who colonizes another planet! We'll be doing basic astronaut training to test our physical and scientific skills, such as Crew Assembly Training and botany in space. NASA scientists will be live streaming with us to teach us the basics of growing plants in space. Astronauts in training will get name badges and freeze dried snacks as a welcome for their journey to Mars!

Parking is located along Oakland Street and in the parking lot next to the Forest Park Middle School.
