Hispanic Heritage Month for Children

Help us celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month by joining us for a fun-filled afternoon with crafts, activities, and a puppet show with our newest library friend, Dubi Monster! This party will be held for new library card holders and for those who already have library cards. Banned Books Week Interactive Display

Banned Books Week is celebrated on September 26th through October 2nd. Join us at the Central Library to interact with our display which will feature the statement, "The WORST thing about censoring what someone can read is______." Patrons will be able to write their responses with chalk markers. Patrons will also see the covers of books that have been banned or challenged and the availablility of any books that we have in our collection that can be checked out. Join us in the Reserve Library's meeting room for a 30 minute workout. Walking benefits include reduced risk of heart disease and stroke, increased cardiovascular and pulmonary (heart and lung) fitness, improved management of conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, joint and muscular pain or stiffness, and diabetes, and stronger bones and imp roved balance.
