The Tempest

Thanks to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, on Tuesday, August 11th at 6:30 pm, watch Andrew Buckley’s rendition of the true story of Shakespeare’s storm and the magic Prospero used to

conjure it.  We’ll learn about Stephen Hopkins and his trip to Jamestown which became the inspiration behindThe Tempest!

It will all be online at a time TBD, so check our website! You an be a seasoned player or new to the game! Zoom with author Louise Miller

Author and Chef Louise Miller will appear at the library via Zoom on Monday August 24th at 6:30 pm. Louise is the author of The City Baker’s Guide, a book about a big city baker( which is what Louise is!), and The Late Bloomer’s Club, a story of a small town and their love of a special cake. or read anything you want that tells a transgender person’s story.

If you love to read and cook and eat, then this is the book club for you. Our reading materials will be cookbooks and discussion will revolve around great food and fun recipes. Every month we will select a different cookbook to focus on, some by local authors. We meet the last Monday of each month @ 7 pm. We will have volunteers prepare something from the cookbook. New members always welcome.
