Virtual Folktale Theater for kids

Virtual Folktale Theater for kids. Facebook Live, not at library. The traditional tales will be acted out with a funny, zany way with words plus American Sign Language (ASL). Afterwards, also on Thayer Public Library's Facebook page, the actors will answer your questions. This program is supported by the Braintree Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Will be available for viewing for 2 weeks after the show.

Join certified Yoga instructor Jennifer Lynn from Nurtured Roots at the Town Hall Green in front of the Old Library  to stretch and breath deep.Yoga helps children and adults build strength, balance and mindfulness. These Family Yoga classes are engaging and fun! For caregivers with children up through 5 years old.

Please bring a towel or mat. Remember to wear your mask and social distance.  Limited to 12 families  .

Outdoor Storytime at Town Hall Green

Enjoy Storytime outside! It will take place today at the Town Hall Green (across from the current library - in front of Town Hall, by the 1900's old Thayer Public Library building). It will feature a story relatd to our "Read Woke: Reading for Change" Reading Challenge. Children and families can listen to some stories and sing some songs, led by Elisabeth, the Children's Librarian. Bring a blanket or towel to sit on.We'll be using social distancing. Part of Thayer Public Library's "Read Woke: Reading for Change" Reading Challenge. This program may fufill criteria for a badge on a minority group .

He finds it is difficult to fit in there, and also at his old neighborhood. The pictures add fun to the book. The e-book is available to download for free on Hoopla (always available, no waiting), or a book copy may also be placed on hold.  For youth aged 6 - 11, and their parents. Youth may join in without their parents.  Held on Zoom, not at the library.
