Want a new look for Townsend Library's Haunted Trail??

Decimated Designs

Makeup FX 101

Non-bloody zombie makeup from training class with the Wolfe BrothersBloody Poker Face makeup

This hour long class will cover the do's and do nots of effect makeup, hygiene,

how to get started, how pro's make monsters jump to life, and some of the

tricks the kids can use to improve their costumes/makeup at home.

Decimated Designs has taught Makeup FX and Airbrushing classes all over the US. We are Iwata certified educational instructors and have a 20 student gravity-feed airbrush class kit that runs off of Co2 tanks so that we can teach even where there is no electricity. As of this year, we will also be adding in a "Lighting for Haunted Houses" class to the roster. Our most popular classes are the "Intro to Airbrushing" class as well as the "How to Improve Your Halloween Makeup" class and demo that we developed for younger students at local public libraries. In addition to the training courses, we have also given career-day talks at local schools, and even spoke at MUD (Make-Up Designory) in NYC about what to expect when graduating. We have taught at Trade Shows, Conventions, Libraries, Public Events, Schools, and of course back at our shop in New Britain, CT.

Harry Potter Trivia Night
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

“Choose Your Own Adventure”

Harry Potter Trivia

Have you ever wished that you could be a student at Hogwarts during the time that Harry and his friends were there?

Thanks to the magic of Zoom and Challenge Trivia, now you can!

All Eight Harry Potter Films Will Leave HBO Max In August

Join Co-Head Boys, Brett (Gryffindor) and Nik (Ravenclaw) as they take you to Hogwarts and guide you through a special contest to determine the school’s next Head Boy or Head Girl.

During the contest, you will drop in on your favorite classes, visit the Quidditch pitch, practice with Dumbledore’s Army, explore the school grounds and more!

But the adventure doesn’t end there… you and your fellow students will have lots of opportunities to CHOOSE where to go and what to do during this one-of-a-kind experience.

But be careful! There are rumors of dark magic stirring…

Registration Required.

Zoom link will be emailed prior to the event.

HOW IT TECHNICALLY WORKS

Devices

First and foremost, we recommend that each participating team have two devices:

One computer to join the Zoom meeting
One smart phone or tablet to play the game

(You can technically use one device, but we strongly suggest using two for maximum enjoyment)

Teams

Teams can be comprised of single or multiple players (Recommended team size is 3-6 players).

If members of a team are in separate locations, we can set up breakout rooms within Zoom so you can privately converse with your teammates.

Zoom link

“Virtual doors” to the waiting room will open 10 minutes prior to the start of the game and the game will begin promptly at the advertised start time.

Although it’s not mandatory, the Trivia Brothers suggest joining the meeting with video on so they can interact with you! The Zoom link will be emailed to you the day before the event.

How to play

Once the episode officially begins, the Trivia Brothers will instruct the players on how to join the game using their smart phones or tablets (There is no special app needed to play, just a website)

That’s everything! In case we missed anything, here is a link to our FAQ page

Franklin Delano Roosevelt by Roy Jenkins

Franklin Delano Roosevelt by Roy Jenkins

Join us as we read through the presidents of the United States!
The idea is to not only learn a few things, but to get a deeper understanding the role the presidency has played in this nation's history!
In the midst of a recent discussion, we came to the realization that our knowledge of much of American history was wanting. We decided to undertake a journey through the American presidency from beginning to end starting with George Washington, reading a biography of each president in the order they served. The hope is that this will acquaint us with not only each President, but also the history of the time in which they lived and died.
