Hall of Presidents Book Club: William Henry Harrison
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM

William Henry Harrison by Gail Collins

Join us as we read through the presidents of the United States!
The idea is to not only learn a few things, but to get a deeper understanding the role the presidency has played in this nation's history!
In the midst of a recent discussion, we came to the realization that our knowledge of much of American history was wanting. We decided to undertake a journey through the American presidency from beginning to end starting with George Washington, reading a biography of each president in the order they served. The hope is that this will acquaint us with not only each President, but also the history of the time in which they lived and died.

Tea Tour Through Nepal with Danielle from the Cozy Tea Cart
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Danielle Beaudette of The Cozy Tea Cart (TCTC) (www.thecozyteacart.com) will provide an engaging lecture titled, Tea Tour Through Nepal”.  Join me as we travel through the tropical tea lands of Nepal.  In this presentation, you will learn about the tea leaf from harvest to production, as well as the amazing people who cultivate the leaf.  Included are my personal experiences with the growers and people of these countries, as well as picturesque views of Kathmandu and other landscapes.  Throughout the presentation, sample a selection of specialty teas from Nepal.

Bio:  Danielle Beaudette is one of the first 15 in the world to be certified in all levels as a Tea Specialist through the Specialty Tea Institute, NY and has completed over 70 tea seminars at the World Tea Expo.  She has researched and learned first-hand about the production of tea through her Asian tea travels and relationships with Chinese, Indian, Sri Lankan, Japanese, Nepalese, and Taiwanese tea growers. Danielle sources only the finest, high quality, freshly imported teas, earning The Cozy Tea Cart the title of “Best of NH” from New Hampshire Magazine. Just as important as the quality of her tea, she promotes excellence in service and pride in educating her customers.

The Cozy Tea Cart will bring three of our fine quality teas for sampling during the lecture, sampling cups and lecture handouts.  Questions from the attendees are encouraged.

The tea and other items discussed during the lecture will be available for sale after the event.

The 33 1/3 Club
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

The 33 1/3 Club

Ever look back and think about how listening to music was an activity all on its own?

Remember scouring over the artwork on the cover of your new vinyl LP and hoping the lyrics were printed on the inner sleeve.  Now is your chance to spin some vinyl on the turntable in a group setting and immerse yourself in the music.  The 33 1/2 club at the Townsend Public Library will meet and listen to classic LP's.

Discussion will focus on, but certainly will not be limited to, the time period, the tracks, the album cover art and the artist.  Join in for a listen to this months edition.

Join Dave Schuttler, Bradley Sherwood  and Ward Clark for an evening of music and conversation!
