Movie - Reflections in a Golden Eye

We will continue our look at the earlier career of Marlon Brando. Famed American Director, John Huston, teamed with Brando, and Elizabeth Taylor in a provocative adaptation of Carson McCullers’ novel, Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967). This is, perhaps, Brando’s most enigmatic role, portraying a troubled and repressed Army officer, at odds with his passionate, and demanding wife, played by Taylor. We will also be exploring further, the evolving theme of the “anti-hero” in American popular culture, as well as Film. Facilitator Christopher Woods will be leading the discussion following the film.

Refreshments will be served.

Film discussion to follow the screening of the film.

Run time: 1 hour, 48 minutes
