ONLINE - In upcoming sessions of the Fine Art Series, students will focus on developing their hand-eye skills and learn how to draw a portrait (in February) with eventual goals of turning our portrait drawings into paintings (March 29th). Your instructor will be local artist Jason Alexander.
On Feb. 22nd, Jason will focus on step-by-step techniques on how to draw a portrait by demonstrating drawing and sketching skills on 18” x 24” pad paper.
We will discuss and give examples of capturing the essence of drawing human faces such as incorporating facial angle, gender differences, age etc. while addressing correct positioning and proportions of facial features.
Students will practice their drawing skills through two sample images to be emailed closer to the program date (or an image of your own, if preferred). We will build student confidence for our next class in March when we turn the portrait drawings into a painting with a blue undertone.
Intermediate skill level. Anyone may feel welcomed to join to either actively participate or just watch and enjoy the creative journey.
Free workshop.

ONLINE – Love and relationships can bring tremendous joy in our lives. However, combining love and money adds a layer of complication that most do not expect when we fall in love. In fact, the frequency of money-related fights is one of the biggest predictors of divorce. Does it seem like you and your spouse/partner are constantly fighting about money? Do you find it hard to even get onto the same page with your finances without it turning into a fight? The good news is there’s hope! Your spouse/partner isn’t trying to make your life difficult financially; they’re just different than you.
In the Ending the Financial Feud webinar, you and your person will learn how to:
• Identify your money histories, more specifically how money was handled in each of your households;
• Identify yours, theirs and each other’s relationship to money;
• Set goals as a couple and understand why and how the goals meet each partner’s values and needs;
• Decide who has the desire, skill and ability to create and implement a household money management plan (e.g. budgeting, savings, planning for the future, etc.); and
• Implement various financial systems to make life easier.
We take a “grab and go” approach – grab an idea or two and go try it. All participants will take away ideas, resources, and the full curriculum, upon request.
Free. Click here to register: https://webinar.ringcentral.com/webinar/register/WN_AIGtSZ7aR1mxPpXsfpnmDA
