Join us to celebrate the launch of our seed library.
Spring is finally here and with that comes a season of celebrations... Mother's Day, graduations, birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and Father's Day, to name a few. Forget the big box stores and celebrate your loved ones with a special handmade gift, made locally by crafters from Wallingford and surrounding towns.
Quilting, fabric art, woodwork, paintings, prints, pottery, kid and baby items, greeting cards, photography, jewelry, jams, wine charms, candles and lotions are just a sample of what will be offered at the Spring Market. There's literally something for everyone, in a range of prices.
Each crafter participating in this fair is an up-and-coming entrepreneur who got their start through the Wallingford Library’s Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship Workshop. In this class, students learned how to use the Etsy online marketplace as well as all of the necessary tools to start a small business.
Wallingford Public Library’s Craft Entrepreneurship Workshops have been offered free to the public thanks to the generosity of the family of Marcia W. Fix, an avid quilter, knitter and WPL librarian. In her memory, the classes are leaving behind a legacy of new crafters. In that spirit, this group of budding artists is grateful to be able to share their successes with you. Please attend the Spring Market, shop small, and become a part of their entrepreneurial journey.
