Ages 5+ | While Supplies Last
Glitter swirling through a bottle is very calming to watch. The kits will include most supplies to make the craft. From home you will need a bottle or jar (8-20oz) with lid, warm water, and a funnel.
Kits may be picked up in the Children's Room on a first come, first served basis. Beginning January 25th, you may call 203-284-6436 if you would prefer to schedule a Park 'n Pick Up.

Toddlers have a chance to practice following directions, develop fine motor skills, and expand their vocabulary.

This month, let’s do random acts of kindness by telling people you appreciate them. Write down what makes that person awesome on a heart and put it on their lawn! Kits will include hearts and wooden stakes. From home you will need permanent markers and strong tape.

We'll travel to Ghana to learn about some Ghanian traditions, food, culture, and make a craft. The library will provide most of the craft supplies. From home, you will need scissors, markers, and crayons. Registrants will receive the Zoom link via email the day of the program.
Kits for the program will be available for pick up in the Library beginning Tuesday, January 23rd. Also beginning January 23rd, you may schedule your kit for Park 'n Pickup by calling 203-284-6436.

Sing, clap, and dance along with musician Karlus Trapp for “The Roots of Black Music in America”, a 100 year journey through time to hear, experience, and learn about the music of America’s Black musical giants. Registrants will receive the Zoom link on the day of the program.

Ages 3-7 | Registration Required
February is national bird feeding month. For this STEAM Story Time @ home, discover what birds in Connecticut do to survive the coldest months. Each kit will include materials for 3 activities, a book checked out on your card, and a link to video instructions. From home you will need nature items you can find in your backyard and an empty milk jug. You will be asked to select your pick up date during registration. One kit per family.

Join retired kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Stowe, to find hidden pages from a book along a trail through the woods and learn about nature along the way! Meet under the pavilion at Marcus Cooke Park in Wallingford. All participants ages 2 and up will be required to wear face masks.

Join Miss Alyssa to discuss some of the 2021 Intermediate Nutmeg nominees. This month, we will be reading and discussing the book, Restart, by Gordon Korman. Once you've registered, you can call (203) 284-6436 if you'd like us to reserve a copy of the book for you while supplies last.
