Take Home Kit: Mini Tensegrity Table

What is Tensegrity? Per Wikipedia: “Tensegrity, tensional integrity or floating compression is a structural principle based on a system of isolated components under compression inside a network of continuous tension, and arranged in such a way that the compressed members (usually bars or struts) do not touch each other while the prestressed tensioned members (usually cables or tendons) delineate the system spatially.” You may be asking, what does this mean? Essentially, Tensegrity is a style of construction that can make things look like they are magically floating in the air. Learn all about Tensegrity, build your own Mini Tensegrity Table, and see it in action with this STEM kit!
