The Good Egg Story Window

Every month, take a wander outside of Budimir Library and discover a story! This month, be sure to check out The Good Egg by Jory John

Meet the good egg. He’s a verrrrrry good egg indeed. But trying to be so good is hard when everyone else is plain ol’ rotten. As the other eggs in the dozen behave badly, the good egg starts to crack from all the pressure of feeling like he has to be perfect. So, he decides enough is enough! It’s time for him to make a change…

Dynamic duo Jory John and Pete Oswald hatch a funny and charming story that reminds us of the importance of balance, self-care, and accepting those we love (even if they are sometimes a bit rotten). Perfect for reading aloud and shared story time

Be Sure to scan the QR code at the begining or end of the story to tell us what you think!

We're Glad You're Here Saturdays

If you're trying to get out more but have a hard time in large and loud social spaces, or if you're just looking for a welcoming community space to knit, draw, do a puzzle, set up your sewing machine, write a story, read a book, have a tearelax, this is the place.

Beat burnout and replenish some spoons at the Central branch on alternating Saturday afternoons.

Puzzles, tea, and simple art supplies will be available. Feel free to bring your own creative projects to work on.

Call or email if you have any questions - all are welcome!

Knit Happens!

Knits are a HIT! Are you a knitter looking for an excuse to get out of the house? Want to talk over your latest projects, get advice, and meet other crafters like you? Come to Budimir Library on Thursdays from 10:30-12:30 for Knit Happens! All skill levels and experience welcome, and any yarn crafter can join! Crochet, knit, whatever you please!

Have some yarn in your stash you don't need anymore? Leave a Skein, or take a Skein with our yarn swap. Tired of your yarn getting tangled? Use our ball winder to make easy to use balls of yarn. We will have a variety of pattern books available for browsing, and encourage pattern sharing! We even have a small selection of knitting tools in case of a crafting emergency.

Don't worry if you run into trouble, because your fellow yarn enthusiasts will know that sometimes, Knit Happens!
