TAB Teen Advisory Board

High school students are invited to join Woodbury's Teen Advisory Board.  TAB meets monthly and offers suggestions on a variety of things from teen room decor to program creation to material selection.  The group was very active this past school year.  Come to our next meeting and find out what it's all about! Oh, and being part of a group like TAB looks great on college apps, too!

IAIS “The True Story of Pocahontas” Book Discussion Group At Senior Center

Countless schoolchildren have heard the tale of Pocahontas and Captain John Smith, and movies and books have long perpetuated the English colonists' version of the story. Now, for the first time in 400 years, the Native voice rings out, revealing the true account of Pocahontas's life and tragic events surrounding her capture.  There are a limited number of books are available to check out at the library for you to join in on this fascinating discussion led by Darlene Kascak (Schaghticoke) the Education Coordinator of the Institute for American Indian Studies in Washington, CT.  Please note: this program is for High School ages - adult.

She loves listening to stories! Choose a 15 minute slot for your child.
