ART SCRAMBLE ~ Library Art Committee's Annual Fundraiser to benefit Cape Abilities
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Art ScrambleART SCRAMBLE ~ Library Art Committee's Annual Fundraiser to benefit Cape Abilities

Artists:
Visit the library, sign in, choose two 5 x 7 panels for your artwork (or use your own panels)
Create ORIGINAL artwork - oil, watercolor, encaustic, collage, acrylic, mixed media. DO NOT SIGN THE FRONT - only the BACK!
Return your works to the library by October 26th

ALL ARTISTS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE - you do not have to be from Eastham to participate! HAVE FUN! In November, approximately 300 works will be displayed in the Turner Gallery, culminating in the ART SCRAMBLE. The public will be invited at 5:30 PM on the Saturday evening of Thanksgiving weekend to "scramble" into the library and purchase the paintings of their choice (Refreshments at 4 PM at the Chapel in the Pines).

Each painting will be assigned a number NOT an artist name. Artists will sign only the BACK of the painting creating an interesting "mystery for the purchaser." All paintings will be priced at $75 with all proceeds going to Cape Abilities. More Information

*A Huge thank you to AMPERSAND and to Blick ART Materials for their generous donations*

Artists' Reception Fine Arts paintings and Avian Portraits
5:30 PM - 8:00 PM

The Eastham Library invites you to attend a creative collaboration between

artist and musician,  between bird photographer Lanny McDowell and piano

innovator David Stanwood, both of Martha's Vineyard. The event features a

45-minute slideshow of "Avian Art" bird portraits, Mr. McDowell's

photographic specialty, along with the improvised piano accompaniment of Mr.

Stanwood. This musical and visual "happening" will entertain, inform and

inspire you. The audience is encouraged to keep conversation to a bare

minimum, but kids are welcome, if they are age-appropriate.

The artist reception for Mr. McDowell's exhibit titled "Flights" will take

place following the slideshow event.

Please join us for this free library event on Thursday, April 4th. The

slideshow begins promptly at ENTER TIME. The reception runs from ENTER

TIMES.
