ART-Ventures for Toddlers & Pre-schoolers

ART-Ventures for Kids, a Western New England based education group, will be joining us for art based literacy activities for your tots aged 2-5 (siblings up to age 7 are welcome too!). ART-Ventures will lead story time with a book and related take home art project. Each event will be a different story and theme. Come join us for some summer fun creativity!

This event will run Thursday, July 18th at the East Forest Park Branch Library from 10:30-11:30 AM and Tuesday, July 23rd at the Forest Park Branch Library from 10:30-11:30AM.

Discover Body Tracing Art

This program will help children discover themselves through full scale portraits. Children will be creating life size self portraits by tracing themselves on large paper. They can then decorate, paint or collage their self portraits with a variety of craft supplies provided......fabrics, yarn, markers, paint, crayons, colored pencils etc.

Discover Paper Quilling

Farmer's Market Cooking Challenge

Put your culinary creativity to work this summer with foods you buy at the Forest Park Farmer's Market, or other local farmer's market. We are looking for tasty, nutritious recipes baked or cooked with local natural ingredients.  Present your best item with a printed recipe at the beginning of the program to be judged by local food experts.  Prepare enough for at least three judges to taste (more to share if you can). First, second, and third prizes will be awarded. To submit an entry, please sign-up online or with a librarian. All ages.
