Herbs, Holism and more
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Herbs, Holism and More

Have you ever been curious about a medicinal plant, but struggle to discover the total extent of its uses within websites and field guides? The truth is that plants, like people, cannot be reduced to a few sentences or a list. The most effective herbalists don’t just know what conditions an herb can treat, but they understand the HOW and WHY behind the herb's therapeutic properties. Holistic herbalism isn’t about knowing what an herb is “good for”; it isn’t even about knowing the medicinal actions, chemistry, or energetics of a plant - it is about getting to know the ESSENTIAL HEALING PATTERN within each plant. You will learn about ONE medicinal plant in order to gain everything you need to know to use it holistically – from its herbal actions, energetics, planetary correspondences, and more. Get beyond the, “use this plant for that symptom” herbalism and gather a truly holistic understanding of the plants you rely on for medicine.

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better?

This program is funded by the Friends of the Library. A limited number of copies will be available in print for $5.00. There will also be library copies available as well as digital formats. Please Register

Registrants may begin picking up the kits starting Monday, 11/29.  You will receive notification via email. Please register. This class will be held virtually via Zoom.
